In healthy, safe, and caring communities safeguarding the health and welfare of children and adults is everybody’s business. However, the process of how to do this is not always clear for people and many professionals like yourself have concerns about when and how to pass on confidential information in a lawful manner.

These pages offer details on two courses that are designed to develop your understanding about safeguarding and clarify the process on reporting any concerns: Basic Awareness in Safeguarding Children and Basic Awareness in Safeguarding Adults. The courses also consider some issues of how we as therapists should act and behave in our practice in order to protect both our clients and us as practitioners.

While there are many safeguarding courses available online, the training offered on this website is taught in live online sessions, with plenty of interactive opportunities and time for your questions.
